Do you remember those college theme parties? Themes ranged from the tame 1920’s Gatsby soiree to questionable themes held at your local fraternity. Successful parties had to have the appropriate decor, guests dressed in costume, and a theme that usually packs a punch! Wheel House is leading the charge through our own interpretation of themed nights by turning the theme party into “theme rides”.
So what makes a theme ride different? Well, two things are key: a playlist catered to the theme and an instructor that looks the part. At Wheel House, we like to kick it up a notch and throw in something a little extra – custom music videos. Many of these videos are spliced together in such a meticulous way that they sync up with lip movements on screen and we also include humorous, jaw dropping and inspirational clips that give you that extra push. That is why each theme ride takes days to plan, weeks to organize and prepare – and thats even before a play list actually comes together!
We come up with the theme ride concept based upon a number of factors such as the artist, genre, re-mixes available that create a beat for our rides, pop culture and much more. Be sure to check out the Reserve page where our theme rides are listed at the top. You can view all our events for both the mat studio and spin by clicking here.
We’ve had one hell of a marathon with our October theme rides! From Britney Spears to Nicki Minaj to Michael – we’ve covered a wide range of genres that appeal to most. With just one week to go before November, here are the remaining theme rides for the month:
- PINK! Theme Ride. Theme rides will be making their daytime debut Thursday, October 30th. This donation based ride will be gifted to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. To reserve your spot and help this important cause, click here.
- Thriller: The Theme Ride. We’re having a double feature for this hauntingly sweaty theme ride: two different playlists, two different instructors on two different days. Don’t miss out and grab those seats on October 30th and October 31st!
Got an idea for a themed ride? drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can consider it. And remember, reserve your spot early for a themed ride to ensure you get a bike – at least a few days in advance!
