Giving Back to the Community – The WH Way.

In case you’re unaware, Wheel House supports many charities in the Bay Area through donation based rides, giveaways for charity auctions and through charitable donations. The WH team believes in giving back to the community especially for causes that are close to our heart. This year we’ve held rides for the AIDS/LifeCycle, Wheel to Survive, HackCancerSF, and a wide variety of other organizations.

Charity rides at Wheel House are easy to set up! Simply pick your instructor and the type of class you’re interested in doing. Our bread and butter is the 45 minute WH Rhythm but some organizations have even brought live instrumentalists into our Mat Studio for a fundraising event. Marketing and promoting the event relies solely on the partnering organization but we’re more than happy to inform our members about your event.

Ready to take the next step? Drop us a line at info@wheelhouse-sf.com with all the detail above and we’ll get back to you!

We’re also throwing two charity rides within the next few weeks! Our October theme rides will be featurying one extra special daytime theme ride on Thursday, October 30th. Nan L. will be taking the reigns of the instructor bike to lead you on an empowering ride in honor of all the women that have been affected, directly and indirectly, by breast cancer in their lifetime. Proceeds from this ride will be given to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. This amazing organization’s mission is to provide financial assistance for breast cancer screenings and diagnostic tests for uninsured and underserved individuals, regardless of age or gender. Sign up for the ride!

Thanks to our members, Virginia R. and Erin S., Wheel House will be partnering with Room to Read! Room to Read is a fabulous organization dedicated to literacy and gender equality in education. We will be supporting this donation all day on November 3rd. Donations will be collected at the front counter and 50% of the proceeds from the 5:30PM ride will also be donated to this organization. You can find more about Room to Read  here and you can keep an eye out on our schedule page for more details!rtr_logo_color_large
