Tips on getting a healthy happy Skin.
Ever wondered how to keep your skin fresh and healthy? With the warm days ahead it is import to make sure you are taking extra care of your skin to help keep it young, fresh, and free of damage. Here are some tips to help you achieve healthy skin- and (spoiler!) working out is included so sign up for your favorite Wheel House classes and work-out your way to healthy skin!
- Buy smart!– When searching the shelves for skin care products do it smart and try to avoid the products packed with artificial dyes, perfumes and other chemicals that cause more damage than good. Look for products that are mild, and contain natural products, and include a pH balance.
- Wash Smart!– Your skin shouldn’t be rubbed squeaky clean remember your skin is an organ not your kitchen dishes! Be gentle with your skin when cleaning it, exfoliate only a few times a week, and limit the use of HOT water, instead opt for warm water. Hot water does more damage than it does good, sure it feels nice but you want those oils hot water strips away. Make sure to wash your face, or wipe your face clean pre- and post workout, this is key! And don’t forget to moisturize, if you can its best to use a moisturizer with SPF to help keep those sun rays from any damage they might cause.
- Work it Out, Sweat it Out! – Stress is never good to skin and can often times lead to breakouts, reactive skin, sensitive, or inflamed skin. What better way to combat stress then to work out, and get your sweat on! Not only does working out help to de-stress and get all the bad vibes out of your system, when you workout you sweat out all the toxins in your body. Just make sure that after every workout you shower, or at the least wash your face and remove all the sweat so it does not start to cause breakouts! If working out outdoors always make sure to apply a broad spectrum SPF of at least 15 and be sure to reapply every 2 hours.
- Eat Right!- Who ever said it’s what the inside that matters most was right! By eating healthy you are providing your skin with the nutrients it needs to help combat those nasty free radicals, and toxins that cause damage. Packing your diet with fruits and vegetables high in vitamin c and antioxidants or anti inflammatory properties you are fighting your skin from the inside out. Do yourself a favor and buy a cute water bottle and take it everywhere with you, start swapping your coffee and sugary drinks for water and you’ll notice how plump and fresh your skin starts to look.
